Juan Soto Is Officially A Met Changing Their Landscape In Forever

Juan Soto is officially a Met. We know what he looks like in the REAL pinstripes of New York.

Side note before I really jump in: WordPress makes it impossible to embed tweets, so they are all showing up as links – VERY infuriating.

Anyway, this press conference did nothing but confirm what I was running around on X/Twitter saying. Juan Soto chose The Mets because he likes the organization – yes the money was important, but the future vision and family values were why he CHOSE The Mets. He didn’t care about the bleacher creatures. He didn’t care about Monument Park. He didn’t care about something that happened 20 years ago.

Steve Cohen has done nothing but talk about his vision of The Mets being an elite and desired destination for players to come play. This is a MONUMENTAL moment for the franchise to show everyone that we are more than a team with unlimited money. Juan Soto said himself that he wants to be apart of a dynasty. It is known that he asked every organization what their plans were for the future. I promise only Cohen said, “Well we are going to try to get at least one of the top pitchers and another big bat this offseason.”

The Mets farm system is in a very good spot and will only get better with Sterns making those decisions. Of course we had plenty of core guys talking to Soto about how Cohen doesn’t care to invest in things that will not only make the players better – but happier. Lindor talks about how appreciated his family is every time they go to the ballpark. Nimmo constantly says how Cohen is very quick to buy anything the players think will help them improve. (Scherzer told him he needed a pitching lab and it was being built within the month).

Steve Cohen has come into this organization and not just threw his wallet at players to bring them in, but his family genuinely treats them like family. Alex Cohens 90 year old father flew all the way to San Diego to join in on the first meeting. Absolute insane move that I can almost guarantee Soto and his family appreciated. This move feels like that final turn that got us around the corner to officially being that respectable organization.

All we need to do now is add some pitching, and I don’t know how we aren’t the favorites to win the division for the first time in 10 years.
