Bad. It is Bad. Could not be worse. Even with The Panthers trying everything they can do to hand us the win – we could not pull one out in Germany.
I do not know how anyone can justify allowing Daniel Jones to continue to play for this team. Unless they flat out say that they’re tanking and he helps us lose games – I just don’t see how Daboll can keep trotting him out and keep his job.
I could accept the QB being the sole reason that the team struggles to score points and win, but it doesn’t even feel like that. The team came out flat .. again. The defense could not stop the run .. again. Terrible trends continue for Daboll and Co. Do we win this game with about 30 other NFL QBs? Probably. But even if we did squeak out this win late, you walk away in disgust.
I said during the first half that this game can easily be the final straw that allows this season to unravel. Traveled to Germany and lost ugly to a terrible-terrible team. Everyone in that locker room is already pissed. Kayvon has openly said that guys in the locker room were shocked they signed Jones over Saquon. Now they’re continuing to play Jones who is TAKING POINTS OFF THE BOARD with his horrific play.
I have talked a lot about Joe Schoen and his flat out arrogance to not have depth on the roster. You know they are not 100% trying to tank, because you would have seen at least 1 person traded at the deadline. There is also absolutely no way that Slayton or Ojulari will be retained either. Joe Schoen will simply say “We have Nabers, so were fine at receiver and 2 good edge guys.” Letting guys walk out the front door for nothing in return with the state of this team is absolute insanity.
It is very difficult to see how this regime will make it to week 1 next year without being fired.
