I was going through some future bets for this NFL season. We are finally here. Dusted off the FanDuel App – deposited my yearly donation – and looked through all the future bets.
To say I was dumbfounded when I stumbled across Malik Nabers season totals would be on of the bigger understatements of all-time – of course by “stumbled” I mean “searched through all the Giants futures looking for specifically Nabers”. 900.5 yards and 4.5 TDs. Both of these feel like if they do not hit, something horrible happened. 900.5 yards is definitely way more difficult because one little mishap with that MetLife turf can put that hope to bed fast. I am going to talk specifically about the 4.5TDs.
The Giants HAVE to have a better offense this year. They HAVE to score TDs. And the entire offense is going to run through Nabers. The biggest hurdle that we have with this bet is the guy throwing the ball. Daniel Jones just doesn’t throw touchdowns for some reason. It is possible he doesn’t know that is how points are scored. Either way, Nabers will probably have to rely on the big, breakaway plays to get into the endzone. Which he will be able to do.
Nabers is by far the best receiver The Giants have had since Odell Beckham Jr. got sent to Cleveland. Saquon is gone, Waller retired. There’s not other major weapon on this team, they are going to lean on Nabers to score all of the points. I could see Daniel Jones throwing 15 total TDs and 11 of them to Nabers alone. 4.5 feels like it should hit by the bye week. If it doesn’t hit and he played 14+ games – everyone probably has to be fired .. again.
