College Football 25 was officially released today and let me tell ya – it is great. But only when it actually works. I paid the extra $30 to play the game a few days early (humble brag). Today, I went to log into my Dynasty and I can’t log into it. Fucking annoying.
I know – I know. There was a crazy outage today that completely disrupted the entire world this morning. I work in tech, I know all about that. But that reeeeally didn’t impact me, so that means very little to me. As you who follow me on twitter and follow me know, I want to get into the content creation game, but due to my corporate sales job, I can’t show my face or reveal my actual name. I decided I was going to try live-streaming my Dynasty journey today while I take a bottle of pink whitney to the face. EA said, “Na man. Fuck you.”
As you see, I tried logging in around 3:15. I kept trying and nothing. I could not get in and I tried everything. Yes. That means I reached behind my desk and unplugged my PlayStation – very awkward angles that I have to reach for. Not fun. Still didn’t work. I was stumped.
After just 5 simple hours in the middle of the fucking day, EA decided to acknowlege that something has gone wrong that they have to look into. As I write this blog at 8:31 EST, there is still no update. I will add a note at the bottom of this blog when it is fixed.
It is absolute INSANITY to me that on the release day for one of highest anticipated games ever they went over FIVE HOURS without noticing there was a problem. You would think that they would have hundreds of people watching message boards, social media and all that shit to make sure everything fucking works.
I brought Coastal Carolina to the playoffs. I have a big matchup against Notre Dame to try and keep the season going. I was in the middle of also making a very difficult decision around where I will be coaching football in the following season. Thank God recruiting season is over and no one can swoop in and steal one of my players while I am locked out.
I am now forced to be sitting on my couch, watch The Mets do their best attempt to play baseball and write this blog that will probably be read by less than 10 people.
Fuck you EA.
