Full Swing came out last year. I felt like it very randomly dropped right before the PGA season start. Season 2 is here and the cast LOOKS GREAT. The More Joel Dahmen we can get, the better.
Dahmen is just a guy who is good at golf on Tour. He doesn’t actually like Golf. It is my favorite thing about him. I relate so much to that. I love golf – but only when I am not playing. For some reason I always leave thinking “I can’t wait to get back out there” even though 7 minutes before I was contemplating if I should throw all of my clubs into the lake I just hit a sleeve on balls into.
One thing I am THRILLED to see is the Dustin Johnson episode. I imagine they will follow him at a major since this is a PGA thing, but it would be very cool to see how different everything is behind the scenes at a LIV event. Maybe hear a LIV Golfer throw some shade at The PGA one time. Either way, I am excited to hear DJ talk about the dynamic of the PGA vs LIV golfers.
I also imagine we are getting two episodes, one from each side of The Ryder Cup (Luke Donald & Zach Johnson). I have one thing to say about that. FUCK YES. I don’t care if this Ryder Cup was the worst one of all-time and the US got absolutely shit on. This is going to be ELECTRIC>
We of course will get the JT and Rory snooze fests again. The PGA and LIV are probably merging together judging from their tone towards the league over the last few months. Will be interesting to see if those episodes are essentially LIV hit pieces again.
There will be an episode dominated by Charlie Woods. I feel like I have been watching this kid Golf for 20 years, but I also think he’s 14. I know all the big PGA fans are going to probably blow a load to him talking about Tiger or seeing Tiger teaching him different golf techniques. I am just excited to see someone who is currently learning the difference between “there” “their” and “they’re” in his English class be one of the best golfers on the planet.
