Here we are again. Another blog about the professional thrower of the football who is not good at throwing a football. I saw this video and I just had to write about it, because this is one of the craziest stats that I have seen in a VERY long time.
This is fucking insanity. THIRTEEN from the pocket?! And we decided to give him a backloaded $40M/year contract?! I was a supporter of the contract, and I have been until I heard this stat. This essentially confirms that Jones benefited heavily from the game-plans and scheme.
This contract is a MASSIVE indictment on Schoen and Daboll. Giving a guy who flat out does not stretch the field that contract is absolutely absurd. I talked about Kayvons comments on thinking Saquon should’ve been paid before Jones and knowing this stat makes me fall way more on his side.
Like I said in that blog, the players aren’t stupid. They know what is going on. They know that Jones refuses to stretch the field and create explosive plays.
I am simply dumbfounded.
