Christmas Starts The Day After Thanksgiving

There are plenty of debates out there around when it is appropriate to start decorating for Christmas. There is a right answer to this. The answer is Black Friday.

There have been people for weeks with scarecrows, pumpkins and CHRISTMAS WREATHS up. You look like a fucking idiot if you have both fall and Christmas decorations up. Thanksgiving is Fall and Christmas is Winter. Having Thanksgiving Dinner next to a Christmas tree is something only a cannibal would do.

I am on the record saying that Fall Is The Best Season. This is not something that I am willing to budge on. It is a very short season to begin with, so stop trying to make it shorter by making Christmas Season take up half of fall!

These are the same people that will be taking their decorations down before New Years. You fuckers are going the wrong way! Go late with your Christmas stuff.

I feel like this might be coming off like I hate Christmas. That is not what I am trying to say. Christmas is fucking awesome. Incredible when you’re a kid, and incredible when you’re an adult. Christmas movies are the best movies. Christmas sugar cookies are delicious. You don’t have to do yard work. Christmas season is incredible – but it isn’t in the fall.

My point in writing this is to tell people to stop rushing through fall – you look like a crazy person to have Christmas and Fall decorations up at the same time. Enjoy Christmas when it is actually Christmas season, so on December 26 you aren’t over it and you can enjoy it going into January.
