Alright. This season didn’t get worse. But holy shit, what is going on? Everyone basically just had a bye through the first two votes because of Hannah and Brandon. This is crazy.
There are positives to take though. 90 minutes is a huge win. Having the “Previously on” back is great. I always spent like 5 minutes trying to remember what happened in the last episode because I have the memory of a goldfish. But not even a goldfish from the pet store, one of those goldfish from a state fair that die before you even get to the car.
Anyway, we could’ve been deprived of Uncle Bruce just being adored by everyone except Katurah. I am fully on the Uncle Bruce band wagon. Bruce just tells everyone that he’s the fun uncle – but he is so clearly the very cringy dad and I love every second of it.
The episode really started once there was an adventure and the entire cast was jumping at the chance to go. WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA?!
Brandon couldn’t even walk on the beach properly. As my readers know, I don’t spend more than 60 seconds digging to find clips; I can’t find a video on twitter of him realizing he couldn’t match tiles properly to find the code for the advantage. This guy just might be the worst player of All-Time.
Brandon completely fumbles the immunity challenge – SHOCKED – and what I said could happen in my blog last week, happened. The7 voted Brandon out so they could have a shot at not going to tribal counsel. As Jeff was snuffing Brandon’s torch, Brandon was so excited and said “This is so cool”. Brandon had some TERRIBLE moments, I can not express to you how much worse this moment was. He’s bad at the game and can’t complete a puzzle designed for 7 year olds – yes. But not being upset you were voted off – what the fuck, dude? I’m not asking you to call people out while leaving. Just don’t get up, hug everyone and get a full chub from Jeff snuffing your torch!
Now. Let’s talk about the part of the episode that very much pissed me off. Jeff not calling out Hannah for quitting is WILD. As the cast has softened up, so has Jeff. In tribal he even said “You guys voted her out”. No, they fucking didn’t. She quit and YOU gave them the out to get rid of just her or whoever they were going to vote for AND her. Which was the correct call by Jeff, but he’s got to give her hell!
Where’s this Jeff? I hope the producers gave her the worst possible edit they could have.
I am not entirely sure what has happened to this show or Jeff. But oh my God. Do better. Like way better. The cast is terrible. There was absolutely no game-play through 2 episodes. How can they put this show together and say “OH yea. This is good.”?
