This Is How The Giants WILL Beat The 49ers

Ok. This is going to be tough. This is the first game since week 1 of last year that I am going in thinking “We are going to lose this game by 30”. But as the great Tom Coughlin once said, “Believe, Believe, Believe.” That may be the only way for The Giants to win this game.

Now it is no secret The Giants have only played 30 out of the 120 minutes they have been on the field this year. If The Giants do play the flawless game of football we saw them play in the second half in Arizona – we might have a shot.

Our rush defense has been hilariously bad so far this year and just like Belt Guy pointed out here, Okereke and Simmons will have to step up to make plays at the line of scrimmage against Super-Man number 1 on this team. I fully expect Simmons to get a ton more playtime this week as it looked like McFadden hasn’t participated in a tacking drill since Eli Manning was playing. We are also going to have to actually play Leo and Dex in the game to stop CMC.

There has also been a crazy amount of miscommunication on the defensive side of the ball that you could probably chalk up to a group of guys who have not played a ton together. I’ll give you a pretty good spin-zone here: The team is going to be spending A LOT of time together between Sunday in Arizona and Thursday in San Francisco. That is A LOT of team bonding time. And more importantly – A LOT of time for defensive captains to get everyone into the lab to make sure they are all on the same page.

Brandon Aiyuk may not play which means we will only have 3 Super-Men to worry about on the defensive side of the ball. Now all we will have to worry about is George Kittle and Deebo Samuel AKA Super-Man 2 and Super-Man 3. Super-Man 2 has been thrown around as someone you might want to find a replacement for in fantasy – so bet him Anytime TD. Maybe even 2 Total TDs. I oddly do think between Pinnock, Simmons and Okereke we could keep him in check.

Now Super-Man 3. No clue man. Adoree Jackson will have to play the game of HIS LIFE. Just don’t make him look like a 5-star recruit going against the scout team. That is my biggest ask. If the team can’t tackle – it will be a long long night.

Now for the offense. We gotta block. I am dead serious in this tweet. Daniel Bellinger should follow Nick Bosa around the field and double team him on every single snap. We are going to have to play the quick pass game and get 5 people blocking on the same play consistently.

Lastly, The 49ers could walk into the game slow. Because they are 900x better than us. If they do – we MUST take advantage. If we can get a quick score/stop to start the game. That would be massive and could set the tone. One thing is for sure: That team that played the first 6 quarters can’t be anywhere near San Francisco or we will lose .. by a lot.
