Sills Army Better Get Ready. David Is Competing For Play-Time.

Yes. You heard that correctly. David Sills and Collin Johnson are making a serious bid to get some real play-time in this Giants offense. These two have done very well each of the last two seasons. With Darius Slayton dropping roughly 90% of the balls that touch his hands, I would not be surprised to see him move down the depth chart or even get traded/cut. Sills Army was hyping up David Sills all preseason last year and he never really got an in-game chance. This year could be the year they put him in and have the chance to make some plays.

Collin Johnson played well at home against the Eagles last year when every other receiver was hurt and we were throwing out Madden generated players onto the field. He is a big bodied receiver who has reliable hands – something this team has not had since Hakeem Nicks. Very excited to see him get some chances to make some plays and go up to get balls.

The big three – if we even were to have that – would be Golladay, Toney, Robinson at the moment. For Sills and Johnson to step up and be a solid fourth and fifth option for Jones and The Giants option would be a MASSIVE improvement over what we were looking at last year. The depth last year was laughable. It is safe to assume both Toney and Golladay will miss a couple games – it’s the NFL, wide receivers get hurt, especially when they have to play at Metlife.
