Vogelbach Is A Met, And I May Be In Love

I will admit. When this trade happened, I was a little disappointed. After just 1 game, I have done a complete 180 on that thought. This guy is simply a massive human who is going to be incredibly fun to watch. He reached base safely twice in his Metropolitan debut, including the first hit of the game which seemed to have sparked The Mets bats. Beyond that, he put up very competitive at bats. Drastic improvement from the other two bums we’ve put in at DH this year.

This guys is simply hilarious to watch. I genuinely think his helmet covers half of his eye balls and he is totally unable to run and slide. He is a less athletic-lefty Pete Alonso, but he isn’t a dork. And I am in love.

I can not stop watching this guy get on his horse and take nearly 8 seconds to go from second to home and cannon ball onto home plate. His running form is absolutely perfect – outside of the fact he can not move his arms or legs very well.

The Mets are about to start a two game series against The Yankees and if this man puts a ball into the Coca-Cola Corner, the stadium might collapse. He has done nothing yet, but he’s here, and he’s perfect.
