The Giants have done what I have been wanting them to do for almost a decade. They have brought back these beautiful jerseys. It is only a matter of time before the Giants make these their home jerseys again and the white out jerseys the away jerseys. The current home and away are just dumb. The “NY” logo is a stupid logo and they should remove it as soon as possible. There is nothing to the current jerseys, they’re just blue.
It is especially cool that the Giants will be making an entire spectacle around these games. Having the end-zones painted like they were for Super Bowl XXI and giving out exclusive pennants to the first 30,000 in attendance. This a massive step forward for the PR team after the whole medium Pepsi slap in the face to the fan base – I apparently was too pissed off to blog about that, my bad. This was a good move to make fans remember the good times while in the bad times. This will also circle a couple dates for Giant fans to be excited to go out to a game or make sure they tune in for it. Personally, this brings me excitement that they are experimenting with new uniforms. The Joe Schoen era just keeps getting better.
I am a little to excited to see these uniforms on the field and a little too hopeful The Giants will be making a move off the most boring jerseys in the NFL. I hope they make the helmet for the white out uniforms the helmet they use every week and make these throwback the home and the white outs the away. Did that sentence even make sense? Nether-the-less I am hyped and hopeful these means more change to come for The New York Football Giants.
