When will this season just end? The Giants Franchise latest slap in the face of the fans comes from Head Coach Joe Judge in his post game presser. Judge went on an 11-minute tangent where he spoke about the culture of the team. Judge essentially told the fans that the players care and are mentally into the season, not planning vacations and not keeping golf clubs in their locker. I am not sure what team Judge has been watching the last few weeks, but this team has not showed up with the fire and energy the fans expect since Daniel Jones got hurt.
I understand the roster is garbage and the expectations with all the injuries should be the lowest they have been in a decade. But for this team to not even look competitive and Judge to tell the fans things are getting better is absolute NONSENSE! There are plenty of other teams who have injuries and at least stay in games. Before there was even 20 seconds off the game clock, there was a turnover and touchdown! The offense had -10 passing yards against a mediocre passing defense! There is no excuse for that!
There is absolutely nothing showing up on tape that Joe Judge has been preaching. This team is fundamentally bad – can’t block, can’t tackle, can’t throw, can hardly run. The special teams is laughable. We have a punter who can’t even punt it 40 yards and a kick returner who let the ball bounce at the 5 resulting in a safety.
Judge went on to talk about the past coaches and other teams. Claiming “We aren’t a clown show”. Well, what do you call the worst record in football over the last 5 years? What do you call an organization that went from a 20 year season ticket wait list to a team that can’t sell out a division game late in the year? I call that a clown show. It isn’t a clown show because the players care?! The fans do not care about ANYTHING but WINNING!
“We are going to put a product on the field that the city and neighboring areas can be proud of.” – Joe Judge in his opening presser. (I may have misquoted, but that is what he said. I don’t feel like looking for the exact quote). This quote is a big reason I take this as a slap in the face. The product on the field SUCKS and if this is what he thinks of us … I don’t even want to say it. Judge went on to say there are players who left who wish they still played for the Giants. BULL!SHIT! The ONLY player who MIGHT have said that is Golden Tate and I think he is too proud of a person to admit he messed up.
This entire season has felt like slap in the face after slap in the face. Starting with the first few games being viewed as an “extension to the preseason”. Than losing back-to-back games on last second field goals. Than using the headsets as an excuse. Than the medium Pepsi and now this. This is an absolute Clown Show and John Mara is the ring leader!
