New York Giants Keys to Victory On MNF In Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay Bucs have now lost two straight with a bye week in the middle. Tom Brady appears to be very mad and I am terrified that he may humiliate us on Monday Night Football. Daniel Jones has yet to win a prime-time game in his entire career. Daniel Jones did play his first career game in Tampa Bay which resulted in a win. That was a very different Tampa Bay team though. So can The Giants pull out a win on Sunday? Yes, I think The Giants have proven that they can play with anyone in the league the last few games.

Saquon Barkley and Andrew Thomas are expected to be back which should help this offense tremendously. Daniel Jones statistics with Andrew Thomas on the field and Andrew Thomas off the field are night and day different. Thomas has been an absolute STUD for The Giants this season, giving Jones some much needed confidence in the blind side protection. Going into a game where we would be asking Nate Solder to block either Shaq Barrett or Jason Pierre-Paul it is GREAT to get Andrew Thomas back on the field.

So what should The Giants game-plan be going into the game? The Buccaneers have a banged up secondary that I would love to see The Giants take advantage of. Darius Slayton hasn’t had a target in the last two games, this is a game where they have to take advantage of Jones and Slaytons connection and take some shots down the field. I believe John Ross will be back as well, the Giants will need to use him to get vertical early. Than you can utilize Toney and Saquon on the underneath stuff and get them in position to make people miss and make plays after the catch. Vita Vea is currently listed as questionable, so I will assume he plays. I honestly have no idea how They Giants will block that man. Overall, The Giants need to use RPOs and Read Options to work the ball down the field, but they should also be taking many shots early with their burners. I am also not sure who they have who can go up and make a play against Golladay. The Bucs will have to respect the speed of Ross and Slayton which will open up the run game and the underneath stuff.

On the defensive side of the ball. Just keep doing what they have been doing. Keep them out of the end zone as much as possible. I am confident Tommy will find the End Zone at least twice. Gronk has not played in a while and is currently questionable. I will assume he will also be back. The Giants will just have to limit the big plays, allowing 300 passing yards and 100 rushing yards is perfectly fine in my book as long as The Bucs are kept under 25 points. Brady is going into the game angry, but he has not been playing well while frustrated. If The Giants defense can keep Brady out of the end zone and limit those big plays, Brady could start making some mistakes and putting the ball in some very tight windows.

This is a very tall ask for the Giants! Big game that they will need to trust Jones and DJ will need to play like he did in Washington and New Orleans. The Offense will have to score 30ish points which is a very tall ask for Jason Garrett and the defense will need to hold Tom Brady in check, limit big plays and touchdowns which is a tall ask for any defense in the NFL. So can The Giants win? Yes, anyone can win any game in the NFL.
