It’s Time For The MLB To Just Walk Pete Every Time

Pete Alonso has been ripping heaters out of the ballpark at an absolutely ridiculous rate ever since he showed everyone who Daddy is at the home run derby. Pete Alonso launched his 22nd home run of the year to extend his hit streak to 9 games. This home run out Pete back where he belongs in the top 10 in the league in home runs. This is Pete’s 5th home run in the 9 games since the break. Pete also has 10 RBIs in these games and I feel like all of these RBIs were big RBIs that either helped the Mets Tie the game or take the lead.

Pete is also hitting .412 in the 9 game hit streak raising the average to .266. Not to mention the at-bats have looked significantly better. His strikeout rate is extremely low. He is not swinging at bad pitches and he is working walks with all 6 of his July walks coming since the break. Pete is also a guy that when he gets a big hit, it gets the team ready to get going. He sparks something in the dugout.

Morale of the story. The MLB needs to start walking the fatboy or he will continue to hit fuckbombs. And the Mets will continue to win.
