The Mets and Yankees Are Switching Roles In New York

It is not any news that this year The Mets are off to a very impressive start and The Yankees have looked bad. This has happened many times before and Met fans have gotten their hopes up just to be let down over and over again. The biggest thing is how this year is different. Everything about this season is completely different. Ever since the Era of Cohen has begun, everything in Queens has simply been different – Blockbuster Trade, Signings of big name players, not to mention they managed to handle a sandal that would’ve sent The Wilpon’s into a cave for 7 years.

I know, Lindor has underperformed so far. Fuck Off – he’ll be fine. Let’s talk about going and getting Taijuan Walker for half the price of Trevor Bauer – Let’s talk about the illar twins absolutely killing it for the bench. And now they’re looking to make a big move before the break without loosing their top prospects! These are not Wilpon moves. Under the Wilpons, The Mets would’ve signed Jackie Bradley Jr to a 9 figure deal and called it a decade.

Now let’s quickly talk about how The Mets have won games. Bottom of the league in essentially every batting statistic you can think of. The Big 3 in the rotation (deGrom – Stroman – Walker) have been the best big 3 in baseball. The bullpen has been fucking ELECTRIC. edWIN Diaz is absolutely Elite. The game is over once the Trumpets start blaring! As I write that, I get an odd feeling he will blow a save tonight.. ANYWAY, this is by far the deepest bullpen The Mets have had in a VERY long time. Even the bottom guys in the bullpen aren’t guys who will give up at least 1 long ball, where if you look back to 2 seasons ago, every single guy in the bullpen had my heart pounding worried about a home run on every pitch- not Lugo. Love me that quarterican.

Okay, so now why are The Yankees the new Mets. Because they can’t figure out how to pitch, hit, or talk to the media. That’s it. They are in 4th in their division, drastically underperforming, pitchers who don’t know how to pitch with the substance ban and 0 batters over .300 even though on paper they look like a filthy team. They also have an incompetent manager and of course their circus of a media spectacle right now. If that does not sound like The Mets, I am not sure what does.
